Remember rookie pitcher Casey Kelly's MLB debut against the Braves in August, when he went 6 shutout innings against a Braves lineup that had 6 All-Stars in it?

Well, as well as things went that night, that was about as poorly as things went for him Saturday night against the Diamondbacks.

Arizona won 8-5, pounding Kelly for 8 hits and 6 runs in less than 3 innings. Kelly gave up 3 home runs, a pair of them to Jason Kubel. It was just one of those nights the 22-year-old phenom will have to forget, because with his stuff, they won't happen very often.

On offense, the Padres got a 2-run homer from Logan Forsythe and a 2-run double from Jesus Guzman. Chase Headley, who's been red-hot since the trade deadline, had a rare hitless night.
