The San Diego Padres have made a few roster moves.

They optioned right-handed pitcher Keyvius Sampson to the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas and outfielder Rymer Liriano to the Double-A San Antonio Missions.

In addition, the club reassigned right-handed pitcher Leonel Campos and infielder Jonathan Galvez to minor league camp.

Thursday's moves leave 52 players in big league camp.

As for Thursday's Cactus League game, the Padres lost 8-0 to the Milwaukee Brewers.

The loss drops the Padres spring record to 5-8-3. They host the Los Angeles Angels Friday.
