Politically Speaking: Skybox Seats

NBC 7's Gene Cubbison explores the issue of the city's politically-controlled skybox seats at Qualcomm Stadium and Petco Park. He’s joined by two former San Diego County Grand Jury foremen – James Kelly Jr. (1997-98) and David Higgins (2006-07) – to discuss the topic on “Politically Speaking.”

If you have a voice for baseball, you could be the next public address announcer at Petco Park in San Diego.

The San Diego Padres will hold an open casting call for the park’s PA announcer on Saturday, Jan. 25. No experience necessary.

All fans are invited to try out for the coveted job.

Tryouts will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – first come, first served. Enter through the Home Plate gate on Park Blvd.

Those considered to be semi-finalists from the open audition will then be interviewed by the ball club to narrow the number of candidates.

Then, the top three will perform for Padres fans at FanFest on February 8. The person who receives the most votes online and through social media will get baseball’s dream job.
