So how has the Chargers off season gone?
Very well according to head coach Norv Turner.
“I think we’ve made great progress. I think they see in each other that we have a chance to be a very, very successful team,” said Turner.
“I think they understand that what we’ve seen is just a tip and we have just an awful lot of work to do to get where we want to be. But, I think they all see that we put that work in and we do develop that chemistry. Then we have a chance of being very good.”
NFL teams didn’t have an off season last year because of the lockout.
This season, they’re operating under terms of the new collective bargaining agreement.
Things have gone well, according to quarterback Philip Rivers.
“I think we got more done with the set-up we have now than we have in years past,” said Rivers. “It’s a little more compact a schedule. But we’re able to meet more than we’ve met in years past and all of the football is ‘boom, boom, boom’ in about four weeks. So, you’re able to, from day to day really improve. It’s not kind of spread out.”

Some time off.
Rookies report to training camp on July 22. Veterans report on July 25.
