During this off-season, Philip Rivers has been the biggest question mark in the NFL. Or, at least, heโs been the subject of the most sentences that end in question marks.
Does he want to stay with the Chargers after his contract expires in 2015?
Does he want to move to Los Angeles and will that prospect impact his decision on re-signing?
Will he simply retire at the end of the year?
Will he be traded in some kind of package that brings Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota to San Diego?
Will the Chargers get Mariota some other way and expect Rivers to tutor him for one more, basically lame duck season with the Bolts?
Everyone with access to a microphone, blog, news entity, social media outlet, or megaphone seems to have an opinon and no hesitation to voice it ... everyone, that is, except Rivers, who has been silent in recent weeks.
Itโs been a lot to try and take in. But, the one thing that is not a question is the manโs ability to play quarterback. In fact, at the first scheduled off-season workout of 2015, several Chargers players shared their thoughts on Rivers.
Youโll see itโs quite obvious that the guys on the field, from all around the league, understand what the Chargers would be losing if Philip Rivers ends up somewhere else, and just how difficult he would be to replace.
