Late Addition to Chargers Injury Report

Only one player is expected to miss Sunday's game in Carolina

The Chargers injury report for Sunday’s game against the Panthers in Carolina is strikingly short.

Sure, it might be due to the fact half their original starting lineups are already out for the season (only a slight exaggeration). But of the guys available they are about as healthy as they can be.

Only cornerback Brandon Flowers, who has not been able to practice after suffering a concussion against the Dolphins four weeks ago, has been ruled out.

The only players who are questionable to play are linebacker Jatavis Brown, who has been healing from a knee injury, and left guard Orlando Franklin, who was just added to the report on Friday with a knee injury believed to have been sustained in practice.

Everyone else is expected to be available for the Bolts as they try to preserve their chance at a winning season.

On the other side the Panthers get one of the best players in the NFL back. Linebacker Luke Kuechly has missed two games with a concussion but, barring a setback over the weekend, he is expected to start against the Chargers on Sunday.

The 2013 NFL Defensive Player of the Year is one of the most dynamic defensive playmakers in the league and should help a Carolina defense that has struggled to defend tight ends this season. Of course with receiving threats like Antonio Gates and Hunter Henry on the field the Chargers try to use their tight ends as often as possible.
