It's 4th and Goal for the Chargers in L.A.

A major envionmental hurdle is lifted for a new stadium

Gov. Arnold Schwarzennegger said he's going to sign an exemption bill allowing the construction of a new pro-football stadium in Los Angeles.

The bill would nullify a lawsuit over the project's environmental impact report. A spokesman said the governor supports the proposed stadium because it will generate jobs. The developer said the San Diego Chargers are on a list of seven NFL teams it plans to approach to move to L.A.

The Chargers said they're still looking at sites in Chula Vista, Oceanside and Escondido.
