San Diego proved to be a perfect location, yet again, for the competition that pits crew teams from all around the country against each other on Mission Bay.

Hundreds of rowers competed in the 37th annual San Diego Crew Classic over the weekend.

They could not have had a better weekend on the water for the three days racing.

There were six different competitions, but the main events involved the college athletes.

In the men's Copley Cup, the University of California at Berkeley won. Again. It's the 10th time Cal has taken the Cup.

The women's competition had a first-time winner. The University of Virginia took the Jessop Whittier Cup.
