Phil Mickelson spent Tuesday afternoon hitting golf balls into the water. This time, though, he was doing it on purpose.
Lefty was on the flight deck of USS Intrepid, putting on a display for troops injured in combat.
Phil and his wife Amy started a charity called "Birdies for the Brave," raising money to support wounded warriors, like Sgt. Jeff Combs, who lost his left arm serving in the Marine Corps.
Combs still plays golf, one -handed, and plays it darn well.
Mickelson has a huge bag of tricks -- but couldn't pull off that feat.
