Chargers Escape Preseason Blackout

Tickets still available for game

The first Chargers preseason game will be aired live on national television Thursday night, and now in San Diego, too.

The team announced Tuesday evening that enough general tickets were sold by 5 p.m. to locally air the game. On Monday, the league granted a 24-hour extension to sell approximately 3,700 general tickets.

The Chargers kick off its preseason schedule against the Seattle Seahawks at 5 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium on ESPN. KFMB will also air the game locally.

Suzie Kolber is scheduled to report from the sideline with Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski and Jon Gruden in the booth. The broadcast team was on the field during Tuesday's afternoon practice.

Tickets remain available for purchase, and for that, fans have their options.

They can buy single-game Seahawks tickets or a special two-game package to also attend the Nov. 6 game against the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers.
