If the Chargers' final preseason game is blacked out on Thursday, it won't be because of a lack of opportunity.

For the second straight day, the NFL has alotted the franchise a 24-hour extension to sell out its home game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Chargers announced Tuesday evening.

Approximately 2,100 general admission tickets must be sold by 7 p.m. Wednesday or a blackout will be imposed, forcing the game to not be televised live Thursday in the greater San Diego County region.

On Monday, the NFL gave its first 24-hour extension with about 3,100 remaining unsold general tickets.

Several hundred Club-level seats also remain available for purchase.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Qualcomm Stadium.
