It's a bit of a tradition for NFL fans to buy uniforms with the numbers of the new Draft picks on the backs each season. This year, the Chargers have five new draftees and on Monday we found out what numbers they'll be wearing for the 2015 season:
RB Melvin Gordon - #28
ILB Denzel Perryman - #52
CB Craig Mager - #29
OLB Kyle Emanuel - #51
DT Darius Philon - #93
All of these numbers, of course, have been worn by other Chargers players. The most notable #28 was Willie Buchanon, but younger Bolts fans may remember safety Steve Gregory in it.
#52 was, until Monday, assigned to linebacker Colton Underwood, who has spent time on the Chargers practice squad.
#29 most recently belonged the cornerback Shareece Wright, who signed with the 49ers.
#51 is a staple for linebackers, having been worn by Woodrow Lowe and Takeo Spikes.
#93 has bounced around of late, with Luis Castillo, Cam Thomas and Dwight Freeney all owning it in the last few years.
