The Chargers' free safety Eric Weddle is always full of surprises on the field, and off the field he has few up his sleeve too. Weddle grew up a Chargers fan in Alta Loma, CA. He graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor's degree in special education.
While in school, he tutored students with learning disabilities, and spoke to kids in area schools and detention facilities in Salt Lake City. Weddle and his teammate, Steve Gregory, in partnership with the United Way, have a program called "Stuff the Bus" program. The duo collects new and used sporting equipment for kids in need.
