At Chargers Park on Wednesday the players not practicing made more news than those who were. Fourteen players total saw no or limited practice time.
Center Rich Ornberger, receiver Malcom Floyd, running back Ryan Mathews, linebacker Jerry Attaochu and linebacker Manti Te'o did not participate at all.
Linebackers Donald Butler, Jarret Johnson, Dwight Freeney, tight end Ladarius Green and cornerback Jason Verrett saw limited action at practice.
Also of concern is the status of defensive lineman Corey Liguet. He suffered a concussion Sunday against the Jaguars.
