Aztecs Lose Tight One In Idaho

SDSU falls to Boise St. on the road

Despite their resume-building win over Gonzaga, the Aztecs are likely putting themselves back in the position of having to win the Mountain West Conference Tournament to earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

San Diego State lost 83-80 on the road at Boise State on Saturday night, falling 1.5 games behind the Broncos in the MWC. Aztecs guard Devin Watson had a team-high 19 points but SDSU had no answer for Chandler Hutchison.

The senior guard scored 44 points, hitting 7-of-10 shots from 3-point range, to down the Aztecs. San Diego State falls to 11-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Their next game is Wednesday night against Fresno State at Viejas Arena.
