Aztecs Add Another Win

National exposure on the rise

In front of another sell-out home crowd, the San Diego State men's basketball team beat Air Force 68-55W ednesday night to raise its record to 20-0.

That's the most wins in Division I for the sixth-ranked Aztecs.

It wasn't easy. With a little over three minutes to play in the first half, the Falcons led by six points, but the Aztecs closed the half with a 12-2 run.

The winning streak has brought an increase in exposure.

Atop the list of midseason questions in a recent USA Today article, columnist Mike Lopresti asked, "How long until you want a ticket on the San Diego State bandwagon?"

The stage is now set for a Mountain West Conference showdown next Wednesday against ninth-ranked BYU.

San Diego State has a marquee matchup waiting in Provo with Cougars star Jimmer Fredette. The senior guard is averaging 25.8 points per game with 3.2 made three-pointers per contest.
