Another Commissioner Mishap With The Padres

The man who runs baseball doesn't know the name of San Diego's stadium

Major League Baseball commissioners are not faring well with Padres fans these days.

First we had the fallout from the naming of a section of Petco Park "Selig Hall of Fame Plaza." Putting the name of anyone not named Tony Gwynn on the name of the franchise's Hall of Fame Plaza is bad enough.

Making it the name of a man who rarely showed any interest in San Diego during his time as commissioner in what was taken as a transparent attempt to get the MLB All-Star Game before he left office rubbed most baseball followers in San Diego the wrong way.

Rob Manfred's first appearance in front of Padres fans did not go well, either. On Friday the new commissioner was in town to help unveil the logo for the 2016 All-Star Game that will be held at Petco Park. Listen closely to the video and see if you can spot where he messed up.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred made a boo boo at Petco Park on Friday.

Now, I'm not a professional sports commissioner, but I'm going to assume it's a good idea for someone in that position to know the name of the stadium he or she is standing in and praising.
