AT&T Park Proposal Set Kanye West Back $3M+: Report

But the ring may have been more expensive

Kanye West's jet-setting ways made for a big day Monday, which began in Los Angeles and ended in San Francisco, where he popped the question to his boo Kim Kardashian in highest fashion, using a rented-for-the-occasion AT&T Park.

What does that kind of proposal cost, anyhow? San Francisco Magazine's Scott Lucas provided some answers. For starters, if he were an average Joe, the venue typically costs $220,000, for stadium and the scoreboard package.

But Kanye is no average Joe. E! News reports that he got to use AT&T Park for free.

Still, that didn't mean the star got off cheap. E! News reports that the diamond ring likely set Kanye back up to $3 million. And the 50-piece orchestra that played? E! News estimates that would have cost another $30,000.

The couple's child, named North West, was not present for the spectacle of her multiplatinum recording artist father bending on one knee -- or the sound of a 50-person orchestra giving him the necessary background music.

Still we wonder: How'd he manage to casually drop a "Let's go to an empty baseball stadium" into the evening's itinerary?  You could ask Kanye: He's in San Jose Tuesday night for a show at the SAP Center.
