A Different Side of LT

Yes, there's a playoff game coming up this weekend but the talk at Chargers camp Monday was about a YouTube video showing a new side of Chargers star LaDainian Tomlinson.

The video, titled “LT Dance” was recorded a few years ago but it was released over the weekend and LT's phone has been "blowing up" since.

The Chargers running back raps about how he reads the defense, how he catches that pass. Trust us. Take a moment and watch it.

"We're doing well, the Chargers, and so it was the perfect time to release it," Tomlinson said Monday after practice.

“I like it. I like it old school,” said NFL football analyst Vencie Glenn on Valley View Sportswrap.

That's what Tomlinson said he was going after. "I'm still a 70s baby. I was born in '79 so I have to take it back a little bit," he said.

Tomlinson said the clip allowed him to show a different side of LT that his family and friends see but fans don't.

Of course, he also got his share of - uh - suggestions from his teammates. Kris Dielman took the opportunity to tell Tomlinson what he should've done in the video. What kind of moves did Dielman suggest? "I can't do the moves," Tomlinson said laughing.

As for Marcus McNeill's opinion that "he don't look good," Tomlinson declared "Marcus is jealous!"

LT, whose wife is a fan of Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance," knows he's not at that level  but said he may have a future in this thing. "I'm working on my second career now," he said.

"It was really cool to be on that part of the entertainment business," he said. "It was one of the funnest times I had recording."

The music sounded familiar to us. We found it at the beginning of this Nike ad with LT and Kimbo Slice. Check it out for yourself.
