Supervisor Fined For Failing to Report Gifts

San Diego County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price has agreed to pay a $2,000 fine for failing to report 26 free tickets to theater and opera performances between 2006 and 2008.

The state's Fair Political Practices Commission in Sacramento reached a settlement with the Del Mar resident in which she admits 10 counts of violating a requirement to report gifts on an annual statement of economic interests.

Slater-Price declined to talk about the settlement, which was posted on the commission's website Monday.

"We look forward to resolving this matter," she said in a prepared statement. "It is more appropriate to comment after the hearing."
