California offers a way to register online but even if you file your application online today, you'll still need it to be approved by registrar officials to be elligible to vote. Online registrants will need their California driver's license number and the last four digits of their Social Security number.

The San Diego County Registrar of Voters is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located on Ruffin Road.

Anyone who is not registered, has recently moved or changed his or her name must register to vote in the election.

If you have problems registering to vote, call the Secretary of State's toll-free voter hotline at 800-345-VOTE (8683).
