Biden Makes Surprise Visit to Delaware Democrats' Gathering

Vice President Joe Biden made a surprise visit to the Sussex County Democrats' Jamboree in his home state.

The News Journal reports Biden climbed on top of a picnic table Saturday afternoon and spoke for about 10 minutes. He thanked longtime friends and political allies for their support after the death of his son, Beau Biden.

The vice president arrived to a crowd chanting "Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe." He made his way through the crowd, shaking hands and signing autographs.

Biden became emotional as he thanked people for their support after his son's death. He says he came to the gathering because Beau would have wanted him to.

Biden's appearance comes as he weighs whether to enter the 2016 presidential campaign. But he dismissed a question about his plans.
