Free Food in July: IHOP, Chick-fil-A Offer Deals

IHOP and Chick-fil-A are offering deals on July 12

Free and discounted food specials are plentiful in July.

To start, IHOP and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are celebrating their birthdays in July with deals for their customers.

IHOP is turning 58 on July 12. To commemorate, the fluffy flapjack purveyor will be offering a short stack of 3 of its famous buttermilk pancakes for 58 cents from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m at participating restaurants. The first International House of Pancakes opened its doors in the Los Angeles suburb of Toluca Lake, California in 1958.

Not to be outdone by the iconic breakfast behemoth, Krispy Kreme, which is turning 79-years-old on July 13, is offering customers who purchase any dozen donuts at regular price a second dozen original glazed donuts for 79 cents at participating shops. The sweet treat producer was founded in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1937.

There are other food outlets, which are not celebrating birthdays, but are offering special deals in July, too.

Chick-fil-A, of fried chicken sandwich fame, is offering a free entree from opening to 7 p.m. to customers wearing "anything cow like" on July, 12 for an event the company calls Cow Appreciation Day.

For National Hot Dog Day on July, 14, Hot Dog on a Stick is offering customers one free original Hot Dog on a Stick at participating locations.
