Donald Trump: Death Penalty for Anyone Who Kills Police Officer

Speaking to a police union in New Hampshire, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said as president, he would call for the death of anyone who killed a police officer.

"Anybody killing a police officer - death penalty is going to happen," Trump said to raucous applause Thursday night.

The Republican front-runner was the special guest at a Portsmouth forum by the New England Police Benevolent Association, which announced its endorsement of Trump at the event.

It was Trump's first appearance in New England since he called for a ban on Muslims entering the country - a plan to which he only made veiled references Thursday.

"We've had a pretty interesting couple of days," he said. "We have people talking, I will tell you that."

Trump says the initial reaction condemning his ban is giving way to agreement as more is learned about Sayed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, the married couple who killed 14 people in San Bernardino.

"This woman came in on a marriage visa and she was totally radicalized and she came in and all of a sudden they're now saying... It's not working, the visa system."

The site of the event was surrounded by protesters, as well as die-hard supporters.
