Aaron Hernandez's Fiancée Testifies in His Double-Murder Trial

Hernandez is accused of shooting and killing Safiro Furtado and Daniel De Abreu outside a South End night club 2012

The fiancée of ex-NFL star Aaron Hernandez has testified in his double-murder trial that she learned not to speak out and "not to ask any questions" in certain situations.

Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez, 27, testified for the prosecution on Thursday under a grant of immunity from prosecutors. She said she took Hernandez's name in 2015. She and Hernandez have a 4-year-old daughter.

Hernandez is accused of fatally shooting two men in Boston in July 2012 after an encounter at a nightclub. He is also charged with witness intimidation in the shooting of Alexander Bradley, allegedly to silence him about the killings.

Four boys ranging in age from 12 to 14 have been charged with kidnapping and raping a girl in Delaware last month. New Castle County Police said in a release that officers called to a community in Bear on Dec. 11 learned the boys forced the girl into a home and raped her. They say two boys also threatened her with a weapon, warning her not to tell. The arrests were announced Friday.

Jenkins-Hernandez testified Thursday that she doesn't recall whether she ever spoke to Hernandez about Bradley's shooting, even though he and Bradley were friends. Her testimony wrapped up around noon.

Prosecutors began the day by questioning Jenkins-Hernandez on her long history with Hernandez. The two have known each other since grammar school and dated in high school. They rekindled their relationship when Hernandez joined the Patriots.

She testified about the night of July 16, 2012, when Hernandez is accused of shooting and killing Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu outside the Cure nightclub in Boston's South End. Hernandez's lawyers argue Bradley is responsible for the deaths.

Michael Haag was called to the stand Wednesday to describe the scene of the 2012 double murder in which former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is accused.

The prosecution said Hernandez placed a 17-second phone call to Jenkins-Hernandez at 2:37 a.m., but she said she didn't recall receiving the phone call or a voicemail message. She said it was not unusual for him to call at that hour.

Jenkins-Hernandez was also questioned Wednesday about finding a gun in the "junk drawer" of the North Attleboro home she shared with Hernandez, as well as Hernandez's trip to Florida with Bradley, which is when he allegedly shot Bradley.

She was also shown pictures in court of some of Hernandez's tattoos and was asked to explain their meanings.

Wide receiver Deonte Thompson of the Chicago Bears, a former University of Florida teammate of Aaron Hernandez, took the stand Monday in the double murder trial against the former Patriots tight end.

Jenkins has continued to support the former Patriots tight end and has been a constant presence in the courtroom throughout the trial. She was originally expected to testify on Wednesday, but that testimony was delayed.

Hernandez is already serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating Jenkins' sister.
