A suspect has been arrested for the serial bank robbery investigation of the well-dressed bandit, who may have robbed 10 banks since May 2010.
Anthony Pernelle Burgess, 30, was taken into custody Wednesday morning, in the vicinity of the 5500 block of Friars Road.
Burgess is charged with robbing Chase Bank at 9450 Scranton Road, San Diego on Friday, Sept. 23. A witness was able to grab the license plate, which let to Burgess’ arrest.
He could have been involved in nine other robberies since last year.
