San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews (left) or wide receiver Vincent Jackson will be guaranteed an invite to the 2012 NFL Pro Bowl, based on the winner of the AFC Championship between the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens on Jan. 22, 2011.

Several Chargers players enjoyed their Hawaiian vacation over the weekend at the Pro Bowl game in Honolulu.

Philip Rivers scored twice. He also completed 11 out of 19 passes for a total of 190 yards. He had one interception and a quarterback rating of 105.2.

Eric Weddle, Ryan Mathews, Vincent Jackson and Antonio Gates were the others.

Rivers tied the game in the second quarter with a strike to Brandon Marshall. Marshall finished with four touchdown catches.

Then at the end of the half, Rivers went to Antonio Gates. Eric Weddle was the standout on defense. He picked off Cam Newton twice. Vincent Jackson and Ryan Mathews also made a couple good plays.

Gates pulled in a 27-yard TD from Rivers as time expired in the half to tie it at 28, the Associated Press reported.

The AFC won 59-41. The winners share was $50,000.

The losing NFC team still got $25K. Plus a week in Hawaii.
