    Police responded to the scene of a fatal gunshot in Oceanside Monday.

    A 20-year-old man who is a documented member of a gang died in Oceanside Monday afternoon from a gunshot wound, according to Oceanside Police.

    Stephen Board was shot in the head around 4 p.m. on Monday by an unknown suspect. Witnesses saw three men wearing dark clothing flee the scene on foot.

    Medics and police arrived to the scene at 510 N. Redondo Dr. after reports of a shooting, but were unable to revive the victim.

    The shooting appears to be gang-related, according to officials.

    Police have no information about the suspect's whereabouts and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
