    It was one of the biggest war crimes cases to come out of the Iraq war. Tonight, the government is asking the military's highest court to reconsider its decision to overturn a murder conviction of a Camp Pendleton Marine. NBC7's Dave Summers spoke exclusively to Sgt Lawrence Hutchins' mother.

    The Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces denied the Government's petition for reconsideration in the trial against Hutchins.

    Once he is released he will be assigned to duties at Camp Pendleton.
