Trees Ablaze in College Area Fire
Brush fire causes Alvarado Rd. closure

A brush fire near SDSU sent smoke into the air Tuesday evening visible from I-8.
The fire just south of I-8 on 6300 Alvarado Rd. did not threaten any structures, the fire department said.
Crews knocked down the fire by 5 p.m.
Several trees and brush caught fire, and the flames were visible from the street.
No injuries were reported.
