NBC San Diego anchor Catherine Garcia was selected as one of San Diego Magazine’s Top 50 People to Watch for 2012.
Garcia was recently appointed to the 11 p.m. anchor position alongside Mark Mullen. She also anchors afternoon newscasts.
Garcia’s work with Voice of San Diego on the series San Diego Explained has earned her national recognition. She helped to dissect complex issues surrounding the city schools, convention center and Qualcomm stadium.
Garcia said she’s thrilled to be part of the San Diego Explained series and is excited about her new role at NBC San Diego.
”It’s really fun to be in the company of some really incredible people in the city,” she said.
