Multiple brush fires were burning in Chula Vista Tuesday afternoon, according to officials.
The fires started just after noon on Tuesday near Discovery Park close to Rancho Del Rey Parkway and Buena Vista Way.
Officials said two or three small brush fires were burning in a canyon near the roads. The blaze is burning up a hill toward buildings, but officials said the flames are still far away from the structures.
No evacuations were issued and by 12:50 p.m., the fires were extinguished and one fire engine remained at the scene.
