A wrong-way driver caused a fiery crash on Interstate 805 near Murray Ridge Saturday.
California Highway Patrol officers said a Mitsubishi Lancer was heading northbound on the southbound side of I-805 just before 3 a.m. when it collided head-on with a Toyota Sienna minivan.
The van burst into flames.
A Kia Sol was also involved in the crash. Officers said the driver sustained minor injuries.
The driver who caused the crash had been traveling the wrong way for more than a mile, according to the CHP.
The Lancer and Sienna drivers were taken to a nearby hospital with what was described by officials as life-threatening injuries.
