Woman's Death Investigated as Homicide

Sheriff's homicide investigators are at the scene of an apparent homicide in Solana Beach.

Investigators say they found the body of a woman inside a home on the 900 block of Santa Florencia with "substantial and significant trauma."

Investigators say they got a call from a co-worker who was concerned the woman did not show up for work. Deputies responding to a 'check the welfare' call found the woman's body inside the home.

The victim has not been identified.

Sheriff's investigators are interviewing neighbors and co-workers to determine how or when the woman died, or when she was last seen.
