Body Found in Car Fire at UCSD

The car fire was spotted by several witnesses

    Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman found dead inside of a burning car in a UCSD parking lot.

    On Saturday night, just after 9:00 p.m., the San Diego Fire Department was called to the East Commuter parking lot at UCSD on Voigt Drive, after witnesses saw the car on fire, police said.

    After the fire crew put out the fire, they found a woman's body inside the car, detectives said.

    Police have not identified the woman. Her cause of death is unknown.

    Detectives ask anyone with information to call San Diego Police.
