A woman was killed in a hit-and-run Saturday evening in the Encanto area, police said.
The collision happened around 6:30 p.m. at the corner of Imperial Avenue and Woodman Street, near Encanto Park, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.
The driver took off after hitting the woman, who may have been jaywalking at the time, he said.
The woman's identity has not been released. Authorities described the woman as in her late 30s.
Imperial Avenue was shut down for several hours in both directions at Woodman Street for the investigation.
Police are looking for a two-door or four-door black Honda.
SDPD Traffic Division is currently investigating.
