Woman Killed by Train After Fight in Bar

A woman who had argued with her boyfriend was struck and killed by a train moments later.

Just before 11 p.m. Tuesday, Carlsbad police were called to the train crossing on Grand Avenue.

A train hit a woman walking near the tracks according to police.

Red lights were flashing and the crossing arm was lowered and the woman had been jumping on and off the tracks moments before the train struck, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. Thomas Yancey.

Investigators say the woman had earlier been arguing with someone in the nearby Coyote's bar.

Her name hasn't been released.
