Cliff Rescue Costs Add Up

Lifeguards average two cliff rescues a month.

Lifeguards rescued an injured woman at Sunset Cliffs just before 3:30 p.m. Monday, according to officials. 

The woman is conscious and breathing, with a minor leg injury, according to lifeguards. They started a cliff rescue response as a precaution, and brought the woman up to street level.

No helicopter was requested for the rescue.
