Woman Found Dead in Burning Vehicle at UCSD

Several people reported that a vehicle was on fire in the parking lot

    An autopsy is scheduled for a woman found in burning vehicle in a parking lot at UCSD, according to homicide detectives.

    Several people called 911 at about 9:20 p.m. Friday night to report a burning vehicle in the east commuter lot of UCSD on Voigt Drive.

    Firefighters responded and put out the fire.

    “When they examined the interior of the vehicle, noticed a deceased female inside,” said Lt. Kevin Rooney.

    The female has not been identified and the cause of death is not yet known. An autopsy has been scheduled for Saturday morning.
