A woman who refused to give up her purse to two men in a pickup truck was dragged by the vehicle for nearly a block in Pacific Beach.

It happened just after 2 a.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Hornblend Street near Haines Street.

Police say two men in a pick-up truck approached the 21-year old woman who was on foot.

According to officers, the men asked the woman for directions and then one of the suspects grabbed the victim's purse.

The men dragged her outside the truck for about a block before she let go.

The suspects then fled.

Officers said they caught the two men a short while later on Regents Road near SR-52.

The victim was taken to the hospital for her injuries but is expected to be okay.
