Woman, Armed with Box Cutter and Scissors, Threatens Clerk: SDPD

A woman upset about an online shopping order threatened a store clerk with a box cutter and pair of scissors, San Diego Police (SDPD) officers said.

The incident happened at approximately 2:10 p.m. Monday at a Metro PCS store on the 500 block of East San Ysidro Boulevard, police said.

The 30-year-old woman, who has not been identified, walked into the store to ask about an online purchase she had made, officers said.

When the clerk told her purchases were not picked up at the store, she grew upset, police said. That's when police said she pulled out a box cutter and pair of scissors, threatening the employees at the store and demanding the phone.

The woman grabbed four iPhones from a container and ran out of the store, leaving her box cutter and scissors at the store, police said.

Police found the woman nearby and took her into custody. The phones were recovered.

SDPD's Robbery detectives are investigating.
