Who Killed 18-Year-Old Edgar Luna?

Oceanside police have teamed up with Crimestoppers to try to identify 18-year-old Edgar Luna's killer.

Investigators say the teen was shot on December 3rd during an apparent drive-by shooting just after 8:00 p.m. in the 200-block of Lustrosos Street. Luna died five days later.

Detectives believe someone knows what happened to Luna the night he was shot and they are asking for the public's help.

"We're giving them the Crimestoppers Avenue that they can take and report things anonymously," said Crimestoppers' Adriana Uribe. "Our goal here is to arrest the person responsible, so no other family is feeling what this family is feeling right now."

The only witnesses to the crime said they heard several gunshots and saw a dark-colored car leaving the area, according to North County Times.

"I don't want anyone to know what this feels like," Luna's mother Leovigilda Ceja told the paper. "It's very hard for a mother to lose her son like this."

Anyone who calls Crimestoppers will remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a $1000 reward for their information.
