Westfield Mission Valley Welcoming Four New Tenants

Mall operator Westfield Corp. recently announced four new tenants at its Westfield Mission Valley retail center, including the newly opened Yard House restaurant.

Operators said Yard House will be joined in coming months by the restaurants Tender Greens and Quarter Pound Korean BBQ, along with body-waxing services chain European Wax Center.

Irvine-based Yard House recently opened its second San Diego location, a 10,258-square-foot restaurant and bar with more than 40 beer taps handles, next-door to Westfield Mission Valley’s AMC Theaters.

Los Angeles-headquartered Tender Greens’ fourth local restaurant, serving health-oriented fare, is expected to open by the end of October on the eastern side of the center, in the space formerly occupied by retailer Loehmann’s. It will have 3,200 square feet of indoor space, with a 1,423-square-foot outdoor patio.

Quarter Pound Korean BBQ will be the second location for a family-owned restaurant with its original location in Los Angeles’ Koreatown neighborhood. It is set to open in Mission Valley by early 2016.

Also opening within the next few months will be European Wax Center, which plans a 1,466-square-foot-location on the center’s east side, near Starbucks. There are currently 721 U.S. locations of the Florida-based provider of body waxing products and services, with several in San Diego County.

Located at 1640 Camino Del Rio North, Westfield Mission Valley has approximately 110 stores, with anchors including Nordstrom Rack, Macy’s and Target. It is among seven San Diego County malls operated by Sydney-based Westfield.
