Water Main Break Floods North Park Street

Neighbors look into the flooded street after a water main break in North Park.

Dozens of residents in North Park were without water service after a 12-inch concrete pipe broke and caused water to spill into the streets.

A water main break flooded the 2800 block of Madison Avenue in North Park Monday.

Water was noticed leaking from the pavement around 6 p.m., according to police. Officers directed traffic as drivers tried to cross the flooded street.

When water crews arrived they found water bubbling up from the pavement.

No one was hurt. There’s no word if any homes were damaged.
