Was That Fieri's Lamborghini on the Bridge?

Stolen Lamborghini spotted on Golden Gate Bridge, Tiburon

Repelling down a rope and stealing a $200,000 car in the dead of night seems like the job of a professional thief.

That's what happened earlier this week at a San Francisco car dealership on Van Ness.

The stolen vehicle was a 2008 yellow Lamborghini Gallardo owned by celebrity chef Guy Fieri who has a home in Santa Rosa. Fieri also hosts "Minute to Win It" which airs on NBC Bay Area.

You'd think whoever stole it had a semi trailer nearby where they would hide the car until they could ship it overseas.  Sgt. Michael Andraychak told Bay City News the car was seen on video surveillance footage driving across the Golden Gate Bridge in the early hours of Tuesday following the theft. Andraychak said there was also video of the car going in to and out of Tiburon.

Tiburon Police Chief Michael Cronin confirmed that his department handed over video to the SFPD. The SFPD said they will not be releasing it for public view.

The Golden Gate Bridge spokeswoman also told NBC Bay Area they will not be releasing video of anything fancy and yellow crossing its bridge.

If you see it anywhere police in San Francisco would like to hear from you. You can contact the department at (415) 575-4444 or to text a tip to TIP411.
