San Diego police officers reunited a mother and a young child Sunday morning, after the toddler was found by police wandering the streets wearing only a diaper and carrying a jar of peanut butter.
The 2-year-old female toddler was found at about 8 a.m. in the 1300-block of Manzana Way in the Bay Terraces neighborhood of southeastern San Diego.
Police said the mother was frantically searching for her baby, who had apparently snuck out the front door without the parent's knowledge. The toddler was reunited with her mother within 20 minutes.
The baby was not injured, according to SDPD police Officer Dan Lasher.
