Comic-Con 2012 is upon us. On Thursday night, the Zombie Apocalypse comes with it.

One of the most anticipated events of this year's Comic-Con is the launch of The Walking Dead #100. It's the 100th issue of the comic that spawned the extremely popular AMC show. To capitalize on the event, PETCO Park is being turned in to a zombie playground, and you have a chance to jump in.

"The Walking Dead Escape" is a 2-mile course running through the concourses of PETCO. The event is not associated officially with Comic-Con, but producer Liam Brenner was smart enough to put it right across the street and welcome a whole bunch of those zombie fans.

They're expecting 10,000 people to take part in the event, which opens to the public on Thursday night at 6:00. It lasts until 9:00. Friday it's open 1:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Saturday from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Runners will be released in waves every 20 minutes.

Tickets are $75 each, and while there will be walk-up spots available you probably don't want to wait that long.
