Woman Punched in Face During Home Invasion

A woman was punched in the face Saturday evening when three male suspects allegedly walked through the front door of her Valley Center home and robbed it of jewelry and prescription drugs.

The victim was waiting by the front door for friends to arrive when the suspects walked through the open door. She confronted the three men and began yelling.

Her husband responded to the commotion, and a physical altercation ensued between him and the three suspects. He was forced to the floor and held at gunpoint by a small caliber, blue steel-colored automatic handgun.

Two of the suspects raided the house while the other suspect detained the victims in the living room.

The victims’ son and daughter-in-law were home at the time of the incident but were able to escape and call the Sheriff’s Department for help.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males in their 20’s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jim Blackmon at the Valley Center Sheriff's Station (760) 751-4400.
