Hazmat officials responded to a report of an unidentified substance dumped on the sand Sunday afternoon, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue officials.
The substance was found near the 900 block of Fiesta Island Road, on Fiesta Island, Saturday afternoon, officials said.
A private contractor will come in to remove the substance.
