USD Business School Ranked 3rd in World

The school was ranked third worldwide for MBA programs in entrepreneurship

The University of San Diego’s School of Business Administration is ranked third worldwide for MBA programs in entrepreneurship, according to the Financial Times’ annual MBA list.

Stanford University took the top spot, followed by the MIT Sloan School of Management. The University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business was ranked fourth.

The Financial Times rated the schools based on the percentage of graduates who created their own company, the percentage of companies still running by 2015 and whether those businesses were the primary source of income for graduates, among other factors.

Thirty-four percent of USD graduates from 2011 started a company, with all of them still in operation. It was the main source of income for 30 percent of the entrepreneurs surveyed.

USD’s business school ranked 66th overall in the Financial Times’ global MBA (Master of Business Administration) ratings, the first time it has appeared on the list.
